Daily element: Hydrogen

Hydrargyrum, Hydrogen and Metneri

Good morning, everybody.
We are Hydrargyrum, Hydrogen and Metneri and this is our new blog, here we will post one or twice a week a curiosity of a random element in the periodic table.

Today, it's Hydrogen's turn, the first element in the periodic table.

We will start with our friend's characteristics, Hydrogen, that only has 1 proton. It's the first element in the periodic table, it only has 1 electron orbiting, and it doesn't have even a single neutron, at least the most of them.

That element has only a density of 0.09 grams for liter, that does him, the lightest element of the universe, and in the past, people used it for zeppelins for that reason, the weight. But this element has a problem. In 1937, a zeppelin in Hindenburg with the Nazi mark, suffered an explosion when it contacted with a spark, causing the death of the people inside.

We will finish our blog here, thanks for watching and remember, don't ride a zeppelin in Hindenburg filled with Hydrogen.
Bye!
